New experienced, new ideology
Assalamualaikum w.b.t. and hello readers,For a start on my first post, I would like to tell a story about my opinion on marketing.
Last few weeks, Anwar had asked me about double stemcell. He said double stemcell can cure cancer, can cure any diseases. I was like " whhaaaaattt, there is no such thing can cure cancer!" I snap him. I knew he hurts but he keep trying convinced me, show like lots of evidence. I just sat silent. Then, few days after that, we go for a date. This time he talk about marketing.
He said " sayang, berminat tak kalau kita buat business yang mendatangkan banyak duit. Kita cari orang, kita buat dia jadi downline kita. Makin ramai downline kita, makin masyuk ler"
Then i replied " bukan ke tu MLM (multi-level marketing in scam type) ? Nanti kita tipu orang bawah, orang bawah tipu orang bawah lagi. Kita bukannya untung mana pun"
Anwar : " bukan. Marketing yang b ajak ni bukan macam tu, Ianya bukan MLM. Diorang buat network marketing. Sayang kena datang HQ diorang tengok sendiri"
At first, I don't want to believe. This is because I have seen my mom involved in MLM when I was a kid, and she is not that rich. She has to work like crazy. Everyday went to customers' houses. Such a hard work for her even to gain RM3K that time. Don't want to mention the company she joined, but she didn't get that much income.
MLM is legal, it is a marketing strategy that implicate few ranks. From my reading through-out few blogs and articles on MLM, actually MLM has been practiced on any organization. I give you an example:
Situation 1
I am a shawl seller. I want my product to be known widely. Then, I want my customer can reach my product at anywhere. Nowadays everything is about technology. People start to do online business widely. So I am one of them, I am a seller, that sell my product online. On instagram, facebook, blogs, website and anywhere that is possible on the line. People can scroll pictures, choosing colors, asking about materials and more. From time to time, my business getting massive, I can't even control customers all by myself anymore. So I started to think about looking for stockist. As I thought that stockist will get my job easier, as they will be around Malaysia. There will be 2 advantages in having stockist, I don't have to serve massive amounts of customer and customer can get clear view of my product with their nearby stockist. Then from stockist, there will a dealer under stockist. Dealer doesn't have to keep any stock. They just have to get deal with customers and stockist will post the product to customers.
That is how MLM works. It always have a person at the above that got benefits the most.
So, back to Anwar and I , last night, I gave myself a challenged, why not I try to be in Anwar's shoes? To see what he saw, to understand what he understood. Last few days, I have done some researches, about double stem cell, about network marketing, people review and feed backs about the company. I also read the review about the company is a liar, a scam and lots lots more. But still, I went to the HQ, with Anwar and his brother. Anwar's brother already joined this before he does make like good profits. Good money. He can buy any mountain bike he likes. Travel anywhere and capable to pay his RM3K car road tax every year.
The moment I arrived to the HQ, I was mesmerized ! I was like " wow, cool nya office. Nasib baik datang " As an interior designer, it is naturally come that the interior always amazed me first.Like alllll the time . It is like Google office at California but Google office at California is massive, this one is just nice. Spacious and energetic. Everyone is so friendly. Malay, Indian and Chinese , altogether. I kept all the compliments to myself. I don't want to tell Anwar . I don't want him to say " haaaa, kan b dah cakap" After that, we went to an audio visual room. I was a little nervous. Afraid to think that I'll be brainwashed later like any other scammed MLM. I heard the speech for an hour, and then the speech is over. No brainwashed but they somehow managed to put some trusts and spirits in me, to be one of them! I am happy. Truly eager to know more about network marketing, can't even wait to practice it.
So, the lessons learned here, try to be at someone's else place. Try to be in their shoes. You will never know if you never give it a try. I am so glad, I've been given this opportunity to do something that I never expected to, that I never have faith in. But, why not, right?
I will do another post on network marketing and also double stemcell from my point of view/ what I've learned at the HQ. I just realised it is already 1 o'clock in the morning
